We had the idea of starting Communities Unified originally because of our school The Out-of-Door Academy. ODA places the idea of community service in our minds at an early age so starting a charity of our own was always an idea in the back of our heads. Since everyone at our school does community service, we wanted to do something unique and our own. The idea of Communities Unified was started our freshman year of highschool after covid. Communities all across America were divided. We originally wanted to bring people of our community and law enforcement together to show people that we should not fear police officers, but trust them to keep us safe.
